What is the Hub for Parents & Caregivers?
The Hub for Parents & Caregivers is a virtual space for parents and caregivers of children and youth in Elgin or Oxford counties.
It is a space where parents and caregivers can be reminded that they are not alone, both through learning about wellness resources in their communities and connecting with other parents and caregivers.
When and how can parents and caregivers access The Hub?
The Hub holds two sessions each month: The first Tuesday of the month at 12:30pm–1:30pm and the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm–8:00pm.
The Hub is a virtual space to connect with other parents and caregivers as well as both Wellkin staff and Oxford County library staff through Zoom.
The first half-hour will include information on supports and family resources, with topics suggested by local parents and/or caregivers of children and youth. The second half-hour will include a “coffee time” to connect virtually with other parents/caregivers and staff.
Participate at whatever level you’re comfortable! We aim to create an environment where you can decide what fits you best. Keep your video and audio off or on, and participate for some or all of the session.
The Parent & Caregiver Hub is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the Oxford Community Foundation.
The Parent & Caregiver Hub has been co-developed by Oxford County Library, Wellkin and local parents and caregivers.
