Circle of Security Parentingᵀᴹ Program
Ages: Parents/caregivers of children 0 to 6 years of age.
Format: 7-week group, currently offered virtually.
The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is a caregiver education program designed to help parents and caregivers better understand their child’s emotional needs. Grounded in attachment research, this program focuses on building secure and trusting parent-child relationships. Parents and caregivers will learn to:
- Understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs;
- Support their child in managing feelings and behaviours;
- Strengthen the parent-child relationship by reflecting on their own strengths and challenges.
This group emphasizes the importance of attentive and responsive caregiving to help children thrive.
Roadmap for Parenting Group
Ages: Parents/caregivers of children 7 to 17 years of age.
Format: 6-week group, with an optional 7th week for parents of adolescents, currently offered virtually.
The Roadmap for Parenting program supports caregivers in understanding the underlying reasons for their child’s behaviour. Using principles from Attachment Theory, the program helps caregivers:
- Develop a “roadmap” to better understand their child’s behaviour;
- Explore strategies for supporting themselves and their child during challenging moments;
- Gain knowledge and practical skills to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
Circle of Security Parentingᵀᴹ – Abbreviated Workshop
Ages: Parents/caregivers of children 12 years of age and younger.
Format: Single-session, currently offered virtually.
This abbreviated workshop introduces caregivers to the core concepts of the Circle of Security Parenting™ program. Participants will learn about:
- The Circle of Security Parenting™ model, including being the ‘hands’ for their child;
- Viewing behaviours as a form of communication;
- The importance of “Being With” and “Delighting In” at the top and bottom of the circle; and
- Other available programs and supports for parents and caregivers.
Parenting a Child with Worries
Ages: Parents/caregivers of children 14 years of age and younger.
Format: Single-session, currently offered virtually.
This workshop helps caregivers understand the function of worry and anxiety in children and youth, and teaches strategies to provide effective support.
Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach for anxiety, participants will:
- Learn the purpose and function of anxiety;
- Practice strategies to help children manage worries and anxiety;
- Understand the caregiver’s role in gradually exposing children to mildly anxiety-provoking situations; and
- Identify when additional programs or supports may be needed for their child or youth.

- Once a referral is received, our team will contact you to schedule an intake appointment, where we will get to know your strengths, needs, and concerns, and complete a standardized screening tool to better understand the level of support required; this process helps determine whether this service is the best fit or if an alternate service may better meet your or your child’s unique needs.
